While this is not an EV-related topic, I'm astounded that any modern car maker does not backup their car's electronic status when changing the battery. In the video below, a brand/model of car cannot get its battery changed at a non-dealer shop because changing the battery causes all the settings to be lost. I will argue that the third-party repair shop should do the backup.
