Osage City, KS - It's a thing!

SO both the latest & greatest + classic electric cars are making the day trip to Osage City, KS for their April 9, 2022 show. Mac McCauley (2022 Model X Plaid), Dan Rosenblatt (2021 Model S Plaid) and Wilson Hitchings (vintage 2015 Model S90D, whale oil edition) are all driving out to Topeka, KS on the day before the show. It's a two-nighter (stay two nights, return day after the show) trip due to distance (about 8 hours driving time).

We sure could use more EVs than we have going, all brands, maybe a Model 3 or so. If you'd like to go, see our Events Calendar page for the details. You can register day-of-show (we all are). It's I-70 all the way so charging is readily available.

Contact one of the three intrepid travelers if you want to caravan with them on an EV mission...

Why do we have 110v / 120v?

Here's an interesting video showing why the USA has 110v / 120v and other countries do not. More interestingly, my employer (Underwriters Laboratory) was started at or right after the World's Fair in Chicago, and that Fair was the first electrified Fair ever. It's mentioned several times in the video.
