For those folks putting in a car charging
circuit, I strongly recommend a fully licensed electrician that
obtains county permits triggering an official inspection. My 100A line
(for 80A charging) went in 3 years ago and was never inspected. I had
used an electrician recommended by Tesla. The pictures that follow show
the result.
Holy smokes! What was the root cause? Did the breaker fail, or was the installation somehow faulty (gauge undersized or bends too tight)?
