Weekly lunch, Friday @ 11:30am (except as noted) - Several CSEVC members meet for an informal lunch weekly in Colorado Springs. You are welcome to attend, this is not an official meeting, merely a lunch with like-minded people. If you have to drive a distance, feel free to see if the people are attending to meet by emailing the Admin of the group and asking. 44th Annual Canyon City Car Show - Saturday, June 13, 2026, Canyon City, CO - It’s that time again! Online Registration for the Canon Car Show is now open: https://www.canoncarclub.com/forms/car-show-registration/ .

We are holding the line on registrations, 2026 fees are the same as 2025 (and 2024!). Registration for the first car is $30 or $40 after 10 May. Register the second (or more!) is just $20 each. Spectators are always free.
Dates for the show are:
Friday, 12 June Picnic: 5 – 7pm
Saturday, 13 June Car Show: 8am – 2pm
Both will be held on the Abbey Grounds, 2951 US-50 W, Canon City, CO 81212, behind the gym – same place as the last several years.
In addition to the Car Show, Saturday events will include a music by Nick Donovan, 50-50 raffle, door prizes and our Charity Raffle – this year’s beneficiary is Loaves and Fishes in Canon City. As always, all car show profits go to the benefit of our selected charity.
We have a growing reputation for the custom pedal cars we auction off for charity. This year is no different – in fact, this year’s pedal car is Rat Fink themed. Still a work in progress but here is a teaser:
Finished car will have custom paint, custom f/r wheels, suspension, mounted injected Hemi, shifter and, of course, Rat Fink!

Lake Scott 2026 Rod Run - Saturday/Sunday August 15-16, 2026, Scott City, KS - This is a great show in the central park of Scott City, KS, and an easy drive from Colorado. I go on Friday (they have a great pre-show and BBQ on Friday night), stay for the show and go home on Saturday. This year they have a hog roast at 6:30pm on Saturday, so you could stay late for that, then go to the rolls & coffee on Sunday morning. Scott City is either 240 miles or 280 miles away from Colorado Springs, depending on your route. The longer route is I-70, and the shorter one is through the Kit Carson, CO charger. The nice thing about the Lake Scott show is that the local high school has an electric vehicle program that exhibits their competition cars at the show. The local utility, Wheatland Electric, usually brings an EV for local to test drive. It's a great extra at a show, and they welcome EV owners to show their cars. I've already pre-registered for the show on August 15-16, 2026. There is a great hotel in town, Best Western El-Quartelejo Inn & Suites, 1610 Main St, Scott City, KS 67871, phone (620) 872-7373. The Main Motel, 1112 Main St, Scott City, KS 67871, phone (620) 872-3043, actually has NEMA 14-50 RV pedestals in its parking lot and actually is across the street from the show!
