From Ron Standley:
Moab/Arches N. P. would be a great trip (but I'm NOT climbing up Elephant Hill with our 'S', even if it does have air suspension 😁). For those wishing to extend their road trip, the spectacular Monument Valley is likely within range of the Blanding SuperCharger, just South of Moab.
Green River State Park is just a little further West of Moab on I-70 for those who like to camp, and there are decent motels in town. The SuperCharger is there at the River History Museum, and the Tamarisk restaurant across the street serves excellent food. Can ya tell I'm itchin' for another road trip?
The Green River area suggestion is just a lodging alternative to the Moab area, which can get very busy during summer months. If folks wanted to spend more time exploring Utah, the Monument Valley area is more of a destination than a side trip.
I'd like to explore the possibility of completing the 'Grand Circle Tour', which involves all the National Parks in Utah - Canyonlands, Arches, Zion, Capitol Reef, and Bryce Canyon. This itinerary might be a bit more challenging considering EV charging options. I'd want to set aside at least a few weeks to do that tour justice. Limited lodging options along that route adds more complication. Guess that's why I like to include camping options. Like this photo (large file) I took in California last summer:
Suggestions for places to visit: Mt Rushmore, Arches would be awesome, did not get much time there last time I was there. Durango area is beautiful as well with some fun areas to visit. Rocky Mountain National Park is close and a fun spot I like to go is Carlsbad Caverns. Some might not be EV friendly, but figured I would list them anyway.
